
Haldimand-Norfolk Resource, Education And Counselling Help
(R.E.A.C.H.), is a multi-service, not-for-profit, charitable organization that provides children’s mental health services; adult and family counselling services; services for families of children with developmental disabilities; services for youth who have become involved or are at risk of becoming involved in the Youth Justice system; residential services for older adolescents; child-care services; Early Years Centre services, C.A.P.C. programs, and other early intervention and prevention programs.
Services are offered in the home, in childcare settings, in school and/or in various office and satellite locations throughout the Counties of Haldimand and Norfolk. During the last year, R.E.A.C.H. provided service to approximately 2000 children and their families. R.E.A.C.H. is an accredited member of Children’s Mental Health Ontario.
The Haldimand-Norfolk R.E.A.C.H. Youth Services Division offers various programs for youth 12 to 17 who are, or may become, involved in the Youth Justice system.
The Extrajudicial Measures, Extrajudicial Sanctions and Community Service Order Programs co-ordinate community restitution services for youth who have offended. The “U-Turn” and “Choices” Programs are offered as voluntary programs to youth at risk of becoming involved or further involved with the law. The “Youth Support” program is available for youth ordered by the court to participate in counseling. R.E.A.CH. Youth Services is a member of the Ontario Community Justice Association. |
